IEW Classes

Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) provides students with step-by step tools for research, creative writing, and compiling research reports, and is designed to benefit students of all ages. It enforces a student’s ability to easily employ adjectives, adverbs, strong verbs, nouns, and phrases in their writing, and builds confidence in knowing how to construct interesting opening sentences and satisfying conclusions. Elizabeth combines this program with her passion for fun in writing. She engages and cultivates students’ imaginations in both creative and essay writing. Even if your student hates writing at the beginning of the course, they will love it by the end!

“I had the privilege of having Elizabeth teach my girls this past year. She is a wonderful teacher! Elizabeth took time to get to know my girls individually and learn their strengths and weaknesses when it comes to their writing styles. She was able to guide each of them to become better, more confident writers.” – Brigid Ehrke

“Elizabeth tutored my daughter through fifth grade and the following summer. When she began, my daughter did not like writing papers and struggled to form her thoughts into words. Now, she writes easily and is receiving A’s from her teachers on her literature papers. I am so grateful for everything Elizabeth did, and I highly recommend her.” – Amy Gorski
